MAG Fanzine August 2010-Present

I am the Editor of local music and entertainment fanzine MAG. We provide full listings of what’s on in the county of on a monthly basis. The fanzine also has regular columns as well as reviews and interviews with bands playing in the county.

Club Secretary for Leckhampton Rovers FC

LRFC is the biggest club in the Cheltenham youth league with 15 teams ranging from U9’s to U15’s (as well as a mens team in the adult league). As secretary for the club I deal with all league paperwork as well as Gloucestershire FA correspondence. I am responsible for the day to day running of the club which includes informing managers of fixture changes, organising club meetings and general admin duties.

PR Assistant for Student Media Projects at the University of Gloucestershire and Student’s Union

September 2010-August 2011

As my placement year for my PR degree I spent time working at the University of Gloucestershire and the Student’s Union. I was the PR assistant for all student media projects. This included working for the SU, in particular Tone Radio the student radio station and working for the University directly.

Age Concern: Fundraising/Communications department

May 2009 – October 2009

I helped to organise an exclusive event hosted by a local celebrity chef in conjunction with the national ‘Great Sunday Lunch’ initiative. I compiled a media pack and media invite for the press release, as well as media contact sheets and other promotional materials. I developed my communication skills during my time here and gained experience working within the Charity sector.
